Chelsea Leventhal

Portals/Anchors is a multi-channel sound and light installation that explores conflations of storage and memory, methods of (self-)preservation, and subjectivity in internalization of sensory experiences. Small microcosms of sound and light based on field recordings made between 2008-2021 occupy moving boxes used in multiple moves, considering questions of what experiences we attempt to hold onto and how we presume to be able to this.
