House of Leaves

Digital collages printed on photo rag, each with an overlay of vintage drafting paper
2020
House of Leaves is an ongoing attempt to map the dwellings we encounter in our dreams, with their infinite hallways and staircases, rooms that are simultaneously familiar and unfamiliar, or the impossible concurrence of domestic spaces across time and space. These three prints were created from fragments of floor plans of apartments in Neukölln — one of Berlin's many neighborhoods where rapid gentrification, unregulated real estate investment, and rising eviction have created precarious living situations for residents — with material taken from city archives and real estate developer'swebsites alike.
